One
year after demise, group remembers Late Dr. Adekunle Oyerinde
As today mark the
first year death anniversary/remembrance day that the Late Dr. Adekunle
Oyerinde, a former Chairman of the Young Democratic Party (YDP) also a former
Public Relations Officer of the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC), Osun State
chapter and the immediate past Director of Information and Strategy of the
Alliance of Collaborating Political Parties (ACPP), who died in Osogbo on Sunday,
7th of July, 2019 after a brief illness.
The Union of Democratic
Forces (UDF) in Osun State on Tuesday said through a press statement issued and
signed by the Chairman of the political group, Wole Adedoyin that the vacuum
left by the former Chairman of the Mass Action Joint Alliance (MAJA) had remained unfilled.
The Statement further said
that the first year remembrance service in memory and honour of the Late
politician and the human right activist will be held at Owode Ede by 8:00am.
Mr. Wole Adedoyin, the immediate past national
Publicity Secretary of the Association of Nigerian Authors (ANA) stressed that
the late Dr. Adekunle Oyerinde served Osun State and her people selflessly with
commitment and integrity as well as exemplary character.
Adedoyin added that there are many things to be
emulated from Dr. Adekunle Oyerinde in his life of sacrifice and service to the
people.
Adedoyin finally noted
that Adekunle’s integrity was never in question because he worked with people
of integrity and was committed to lifting up the vulnerable.
The Union of Democratic
Forces (UDF) in Osun State prays
that the Almighty God gives the Late Dr. Adekunle Oyerinde’s family and other
loved ones the strength to withstand the tragic loss and also grant the dead
eternal rest.
